Passive and Active Voice

This worksheet (complete with an answer key) explains the difference between Passive and Active Voice before tasking students with two activities where they identify and use these voices in sentences.

Active voice is vital for strong, effective writing, yet it seems few students even understand the difference between Passive and Active Voice. This printable worksheet (with its corresponding answer key) begins by clearly explaining and discussing Passive and Active Voice before offering students two exercises, one covering identifying voice and the other requiring transforming voice in sentences from passive to active without altering meaning.
